AWANA

Sermons

We are excited for another great year with AWANA. It is a joy to watch kids and leaders, alike, grow in God’s Word as they memorize Scripture and begin walking out the Truth. Our registration fee is $28. per child. Please don’t hesitate to join us, even if it's for a few nights, as every day is worth it for your kids... and they’ll love it! We meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 – 7:55 p.m.

Awana History: AWANA works through local churches from over one hundred different denominations. It began as a children's program at the North Side Gospel Center in Chicago in 1941. Lance Latham, North Side's senior pastor, collaborated with the church's youth director, Art Rorheim, to develop weekly clubs that would appeal to churched and non-churched kids, lead them to trust Christ as their Savior, and grow them in enduring faith and service to God. Today, more than 12,000 churches in the U.S. run AWANA with programs in all 50 states. AWANA can also be found in over 6,000 churches in 109 other countries.

For further information about our AWANA program, or to volunteer as a helper/leader, please contact our church office at 509 674-2664.

Cubbies logo

Cubbies logoWhether it's the fun puppets, the exciting games, or all their "Cubbies friends," pre-schoolers simply love it. At Story Time each week, pre-schoolers learn about God – the greatness of His love and His Word – and about His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior.

Fun games build excitement and reinforce Story Time lesson themes. Cubbies helps you lead your child to God early so she/he will respect and trust Jesus Christ for life.

Sparks logo

Sparks logoFor kindergarten to second grade, Sparks is the highlight of the week! They love learning about the Bible, wearing their red vests, playing exciting games, and spending time with leaders and friends.

Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank: HangGlider®, WingRunner® and SkyStormer™. Each year, Sparks clubbers:

  • explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture
  • memorize Bible verses
  • complete handbook activities

The handbooks, combined with Large Group Time lessons from the "Who Do I Need to Know from the Bible" series, take your child on a journey through the entire Bible!

T&T logo

Truth and Training logoT&T engages third through fifth-graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace.

Handbooks and Large Group lessons deepen a child's knowledge about God and His Word, and teach how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life.

Trek Logo

Trek LogoTrek is our AWANA Youth Ministries middle school program. This 3 year program challenges students to wrestle with the three most important questions they’re asking in middle school:

  • Who am I?
  • Why am I here?
  • Who’s with me?
  • By allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves we allow them to own their faith and discover what they actually believe.
